The next Southern African Society for Medieval and Renaissance Studies Conference will take place in 2026, and we’re thrilled to announce the conference theme:
Taking place from 3 to 6 September 2026, the SASMARS Conference will again be held at the stunning Mont Fleur Conference Venue in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
The call for papers and proposal deadline will be shared soon.
The conference is interdisciplinary and international, and we also welcome proposals from post-graduate students and independent academics.
Please note that this will be an in-person conference only. Accommodation, meals, and conference facilities are provided at Mont Fleur, and airport shuttle transfers (to and from the Cape Town International Airport) can be arranged.
